In 2013, the association “Mostbarone” celebrated its tenth anniversary. The Mostbarone (currently 20 members) have taken a common oath: to cultivate and develop the culture around the fermented pear cider. They see themselves as specialists for the real Mostviertler Mostgenuss. The chairman of the group is the newly elected “Primus”. All Mostbarone offer delicacies from the pear – these include single-variety pear must, pear frizzante, fruit juices, brandies, finest vinegar, dried fruit and other specialties.
In 2005, we were “ennobled” by the Primus of the Mostbaron Association and appointed Mostbaron and Mostbaronin. Because the title “Mostbaron” is awarded only to selected Mostviertlerinnen and Mostviertler. He honors the special commitment to the region and for the perry.
