A key part of marketing our products is attending trade fairs. In Germany, alongside the BioFach in Nuremberg (where we will of course be making an appearance again), a handful of smaller events have established themselves – and they're anything but quiet. BioSüd, -West, -Nord and -Ost are markets with great reach, a fantastic crowd, and plenty of fellow producers with great products. We'll be in Augsburg and are looking forward to a wonderful day at the fair. If you're in the area or planning a trip to Bavaria, you're more than welcome to stop by. Come visit us at our stand for a sip of Mostello.

Bio Trade Fairs on the Rise

The BioMessen (BioNord, BioSüd, BioOst, BioWest) serve as a trade and communication platform for players in the German organic industry. They are open exclusively to trade visitors, including those from health food and reform product retail, organic supermarkets, independent retail and specialty stores, as well as food service and large-scale consumers. Exhibitors include nationwide suppliers to the organic trade in the areas of organic food and natural cosmetics, along with the relevant wholesale sector. Regional producers such as winemakers, cheesemakers, and beekeepers also take part. With individual and authentic products, these often artisan-run businesses make an indispensable contribution to the diversity and vitality of the high-quality range available in specialist retail. On shared exhibition areas, organic farming associations (including Bioland, Biokreis, Demeter, and Naturland) present themselves alongside numerous sub-exhibitors.

For us, though, there's another great reason to make the trip: all four BioMessen take place in a completely climate-neutral way. The organisers are breaking new ground when it comes to offsetting: the climate-damaging emissions generated by running the exhibition halls, travel to and from the event, and so on, are offset through humus build-up on organic farms in Germany. Exactly our kind of thing.

In any case, we'll be there – we're looking forward to Augsburg and can't wait to show the Bavarians where the good stuff really comes from. Or rather, the Mostello. Because that's exactly what we'll be presenting – along with the naked oat whisky and a few classics from our distillery, including Speck- (die 'kernige Williams', Knoll– and Kongressbirne, Wilde Zwetschke, Marille) – to Bavaria's fruit brandy enthusiasts.
