In 2 days, the time has come. On 10 March, Barbara van Melle opens the doors of the Kursalon Hübner and invites you to the bread festival #krusteundkrume. With this, she turns Vienna into a bread metropolis and a hotspot for the baker's craft.
We're on board too. But we don't bake — we distil. So we're contributing two spirits that give even stale bread a new purpose: Bread Spirit Black, a sensationally dark-bread-scented bread schnapps with notes of fennel, anise and coriander, and the malty, yellow-fruit-forward Bread Spirit White, the baguette for grown-ups. 40% vol. and strictly limited.
You can taste our spirits at the Brotfestival Kruste & Krume in the Lehár Hall of the Kursalon Hübner.

Kruste & Krume Bread Festival
The successful Kruste & Krume bread festival takes place for the third time on 10 March 2018.
This year's festival welcomes 34 bakers. They come from all over Austria, and for the first time guests are also travelling from Piedmont (Italy) and Bratislava (Slovakia) bringing specialities from the Slow Food Ark of Taste.
At the large baker's market, outstanding baked goods will be on offer; the stage show delivers fascinating insights into the craft; in the baking workshop you can experience the baker's trade up close, and the upper floor of the Kursalon revolves entirely around bread. The new baking world has everything you need for bread baking: the finest baker's flours from Austrian mills, seeds, spices and a sourdough exchange inviting bread-baking enthusiasts to swap their cultures. The baking competition once again offers recognition and great prizes, children can bake free of charge in the children's baking kitchen, and PANEUM, Austria's new bread museum, takes visitors on a journey through the history of the baker's guild.
Saturday, 10 March 2018 from 09:00 to 19:00 at the Kursalon Hübner (Stadtpark, Vienna, Austria)
Tickets are available online at ntry.at here: https://ntry.at/krusteundkrume By the way: admission is free for children under 12!
