Mostviertel Field Experiments: A Culinary Experiment
Anyone who wants to grow knows that it takes a willingness to take risks. Restaurateurs and producers from the Mostviertel took this to heart, experimenting together with their guests at the very highest level — and are now taking it into a full series.
On 13th September, everything here is centred around "Experimenting, Discovering & Enjoying". As part of the "Mostviertel Field Trials" is smoked, baked and savoured in the largest pear orchard in Europe, together with two-Hauben chef Theresia Palmetzhofer. Or have you ever had the chance to bake root bread from malt, fill pear leaves with emmer rice, or smoke trout over pear branches?
Together with our guests, we cook in a unique setting – without electricity and just as people did in days gone by. Join us for an exclusive menu centred around the pear! Our guests don't just help with the cooking, they also set the table together. It brings people closer and sparks something new. Dinner is enjoyed outdoors, accompanied by specialities that have made Destillerie Farthofer famous far beyond the borders of the Mostviertel. And don't worry – there's plenty on offer for those who prefer something lighter from the pear as well. After all, the Mostviertel stands for a spirit of innovation and a joy of experimentation.
And it is precisely this experiment that gives rise to unexpected, creative moments of pleasure – a must-attend event for all gourmets and food-loving travellers!
