Power Breakfast

What's your favourite thing to have for breakfast? They say the first meal of the day is the most important – but with our recipe tip, it's sure to be the most delicious meal of the day. In the spirit of apricot season, our summer breakfast features apricots, Greek yoghurt, honey, toppings of your choice (such as flaked almonds) and homemade granola.

Think you can't make granola at home? Think again – and it's surprisingly quick and easy. It works best with our sprouted grain Bio naked oats. Enjoy making it and savour every crunchy bite of your homemade crunchy speciality! 😊

Cocktail Mostviertler Gruß (Destillerie Farthofer)

Ingredients:

  • 300 g sprouted grain Bio naked oats

  • 125 g organic honey

  • 100 g organic almonds (flaked)

  • 100 g organic coconut oil

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1 pinch of cinnamon

  • bourbon vanilla to taste

Preheat the oven to approx. 160 °C fan and roll the Bio naked oats into flakes. Melt the coconut oil and honey together in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring continuously. Mix the oats with the salt, cinnamon and vanilla, then stir into the coconut oil and honey mixture. Spread the mixture in bite-sized clusters on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in the preheated oven for approx. 10 minutes. Turn and bake for a further approx. 5 minutes until golden. Once cooled, break up the granola if needed and enjoy fresh, or store in an airtight container. Tip: Try different variations with nuts or dried fruit. Homemade granola keeps for at least two weeks (depending on the ingredients used).
