Description

Mostviertel pear cider is our traditional house drink, and is produced exclusively from Mostviertel cider pears. The hand-gathered pears are pressed to juice and then fermented in a stainless steel tank under temperature control. The freshly pressed and fermented juice is then distilled in a copper kettle. After distillation the spirit is adjusted to cask strength of 60% alcohol, and then matures for at least one year in Austrian oak.

The result is a finely fruited noble brandy with the essence of dried pears and light vanilla notes, subtle sweetness and a very gentle, long finish.
